This year the Glen of Imaal Mountain Rescue team will run two fundraising events.
2nd April; Craic of Dawn 12th November; Moonlight Challenge
The Moonlight Challenge is back!
On 20th November we hope to see many walkers back on a great route on our home turf of Glendalough. As we’re working with limited numbers this year, registration will only be open to 2019 captains initially. Should more places become available, we will communicate this through this website and our social media.
For the first time in 11 years we’ve had to cancel the Moonlight Challenge.
We hope you are all keeping well and still get to enjoy walks close to home. We will be back in 2021! In the meantime follow the team here.
A massive thank you to all our participants last Saturday!
You’re enthusiasm, commitment and perseverance amazes us every year. You made our 10th anniversary a party from start to end.
Congratulations to team Wicklow Wanderers for winning the Angela Sweeney Award!
Photos will be up in the next few days.
We’re very thankful that our good friends at
Coillte have once again been incredibly supportive of our event and our team.
This year they have no less than 36 people taking part.
But most importantly they have kindly sponsored these beautiful, durable bottles for everyone joining us tomorrow!
Due to the overwhelming enthusiasm of people throughout the country and beyond we have now reached the maximum number of participants for Moonlight Challenge 2019.
We wish all our participants good luck with their fundraising efforts and look forward to seeing you all on 9th November!
You’ve been patiently waiting.
Now it’s here:
A date for the diary:
SATURDAY 9TH NOVEMBER 2019!
The new route will be announced in the next couple of weeks and registration will open in August.
